That is a thoughtful question and one I have asked myself many times. The short answer is yes, but with care and awareness.

I do trust ChatGPT to support serious decision making, but I see it more as a thinking partner than the final voice.

From my own experience, ChatGPT has been incredibly helpful in situations where I needed to explore ideas, compare options, or break down complex information. For example, when I was deciding on a new strategy for my business, I used ChatGPT to help me analyze trends, create pros and cons lists, and even simulate different scenarios. It helped me see things from angles I might have missed on my own.

That said, I never rely on it blindly. I always double-check facts, combine its suggestions with my own judgment, and when necessary, consult with real experts. ChatGPT can provide a lot of clarity and structure, especially when you feel overwhelmed or stuck. It helps you think more clearly and make more informed choices.

I see it like a very smart assistant who works fast and never sleeps. It can guide, suggest, and explain, but the final decision still rests with me. And that is exactly how I think it should be used as a powerful support tool, not a replacement for human thinking.

So yes, I do trust ChatGPT to play a role in serious decisions. But I also trust my own judgment and experience enough to know when to pause, reflect, and dig deeper if needed. The best results come when we combine both.

Honestly, I trust ChatGPT as a really helpful assistant when I’m gathering information or trying to think through a problem, but I wouldn’t rely on it alone for serious decision-making.
It’s great for breaking things down, offering different perspectives, or helping me weigh pros and cons.
Sometimes it even helps me see something I hadn’t thought of. But when it comes to decisions that carry real weight like financial moves, career choices, or anything that affects other people  I still double-check everything and use it more as a guide than a final authority.
What I’ve learned is that ChatGPT is amazing at speeding up research and giving structure to my thoughts. It helps me get organized, challenge my assumptions, and look at the bigger picture.
But at the end of the day, it does not have lived experience, personal values, or gut instinct things that matter a lot in serious decisions.
So yes, I use it regularly and trust it in the way you trust a very smart assistant. But the final call? That still has to come from me. I think that balance is where AI really shines supporting, not replacing.
